Peppard adds to its fleet as demand increases

At Peppard Building Supplies we will be adding to our delivery fleet once more as local demand for building and landscaping products continues to grow.

We’ve recently ordered a new 26 tonne, crane offload vehicle, which will be able to carry hundreds of square metres of products, and represents a significant addition to our delivery capacity.

Peppard Building Supplies associate director Neil Bryant said: “Over recent months we’ve seen encouraging growth among the builders, developers and landscapers who use our builder’s merchant. However as demand from our customers grows, so does the importance of delivering on time and in full.

“Adding to our fleet means that we have a range of vehicles available to ensure our team can access just about any site with a variety of loads. This is part of our key focus on ensuring that our customers get the products they need when they need them.”

Ordered in summer, the bodywork is due to begin on the new £110,000 vehicle. A crane will be added before it is delivered to the Dunsden site next year.

“There is a long lead-in time for these vehicles, but it will be worth the wait as it will significantly increase our delivery capacity for large and heavy loads,” Neil added.

The new vehicle will take the total delivery fleet to nine and comes just months after Peppard recruited more staff to the yard team.

Over the past 12 months we’ve also reorganised the yard to improve access and speed up loading times.
